How to Treat Acne

It is important, if you intend to treat acne, to catch it early and treat it aggressively

People who use anabolic steroids to excessive levels often experience acne breakout before very long. You could suffer likewise if you have been prescribed any medication that contains halogens. Iodides, chlorides, and bromides all tend to cause acne. Someone who is very particular about what they medicate on should have little trouble understanding that.|Lithium, barbiturates, and androgens could cause you to break out in various acnes if you happen to be sensitive to them. All of these performance-enhancing drugs and medications have an effect on your hormones that is not particularly flattering. And since acne is a sucker for raging hormones, you could catch the condition, and you might not be able to shake it too easily.|Chlorine and its compounds can cause skin irritations and allergic reactions in your body. Exposure to high levels of chlorine compounds can actually result in acne, although a lot of people seem to be ignorant of the fact. Chlorinated dioxins in particular have that effect. They can cause you to have that severe, long-lasting acne that is unflatteringly referred to as Chloracne.

I for one believe that acne can be caused by excess uncleanness. When you make a habit of not taking your bath as often as you should, you give your skin the opportunity to accumulate dirt from the environment. When these are held for too long under the top layer, what you get is an infection by bacteria, and then acne. As such merely bathing regularly as you should, could help you cure the condition as well as any medicine.|There is no way you know more about a disease than the doctor who has spent several years studying and treating such. Even if it is your skin, you cannot know more about acne vulgaris than your dermatologist does. In that wise, an outbreak of the condition on you or that on your close relative should take you instantly to the specialist. Self-medication does work, but not all the time; and you wouldn’t want this to be one of those times that it didn’t work. There are so many hormones in your body systems that are linked to the occurrence of acnes that you might have trouble learning them all. What’s worse is that a lot of these names are ones that are difficult to pronounce. The male ones include testosterone and DHT, i.e. dihydrotestosterone; a third is dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, also known as DHEAS, and a fourth, the insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-I). Read up on them, and learn what you can about the disease.

Benzoyl peroxide, laxatives, antibiotics, and accutane, are all cures that have been attempted over time to do away with the unpleasant skin inflammatory disease known as acne. Laser treatment has also recently been developed to include blue and red light therapy. All of them do record much some success in the treatment of the condition, but there are still people who do not get the cure they seek all over the world. Rather frustrating.|Can acne be cured? It is a difficult question to answer because whereas a lot of people have found cure in the past, there are almost as many failures as there are recorded victories in that arena. Even as advancements continue to make miracles possible, there yet isn’t any lasting miracle for the treatment of acne. Perhaps with a little more work. I certainly believe that acne can be cured, but I don’t think we have that cure yet.
